Inspired by Japans exquisite flora, Sailor's Manyo line of fountain pen inks encompasses a stunning array of unique colours. The collections name is a reference to the Manyoshu (˜Collection of Ten Thousand Leaves), the oldest and most revered anthology of classical Japanese poetry.
Ayame is a gentle green-grey that shades out to purples and greys. As part of the third release in the Manyo ink series, Ayame is a dual shading ink, which means it shades different colours than its base colours when pooling into areas of high and low concentration on the paper. This smooth-flowing water-based dye ink is specifically formulated to be safe for all fountain pens and comes in a classic 50 ml square-shaped glass bottle.
