Inspired by his iconic novel "Treasure Island," the writing instrument resembles a historic spyglass, with engraved crosses on the black precious resin barrel reminiscent of a treasure map. The cap features vertical lines resembling the schooner "Hispaniola" and a sea chest, while the platinum-coated clip forms a compass rose and imitates a ship's belaying pin. The cap top showcases the Montblanc emblem with a pirate's skull and crossbones, and the cap ring is engraved with Stevenson's signature and the publication date of his first work, "The Pentland Rising," 1866. The dates 1850-1894 on the cap commemorate Stevenson's life.
