To honour one of English literature's most beloved authors Jane Austen, Montblanc has designed the Writers Edition Homage to Jane Austen. This edition reflects the Regency era, a time when grand parties at country estates were key for socializing and forming marriage alliances. The elegant sandstone-grey resin barrel is adorned with fluting reminiscent of classical columns and Jane Austen's signature. The grey-blue cap is inspired by the double-collared coats worn by gentlemen like Mr. Darcy in Pride and Prejudice. Gold-coated rings and platinum-plated fittings complete the design.

The cap ring features the Roman numerals XLIII, marking the chapter where Elizabeth Bennet first sees Mr. Darcy's estate. The cap top is inscribed with "By a Lady," referencing the title page of Sense and Sensibility, published in 1811, along with the Montblanc emblem. The writing instrument's silhouette resembles a wax seal stamp, and the clip, shaped like a braided cord with a drawstring closure, mimics the reticules used by women in the 1800s. The only known silhouette of Jane Austen, capturing her delicate features, is engraved on the handcrafted, rhodium-coated solid gold nib.
