In Japanese culture, lacquerware is not only a practical object but also a decorative and cultural symbol. During the Nara and Heian periods, it became a symbol of wealth in aristocratic society and closely associated with Shintoism and Buddhism. These fountain pens showcase delicate lacquer patterns that are soft and elegant, featuring complementary colours that enhance their beauty. Pure gold and silver powders add a subtle shimmer to these pens, which are created in historical colours of nobility. Bun-Jin-Cha is a chic brown hue that originated from the mid-Meiji period's literati culture, where people appreciated various forms of literary arts, including calligraphy, poetry, and painting. This writing instrument is crafted with an ebonite base in the King of Pen size and is equipped with the famously smooth and oversized bi-colour 21k gold KOP nib, ensuring an unparalleled writing experience. The writing instrument is packaged in a Paulownia box that is well-suited for storing lacquer products. The luxurious box contains a Sanada strap, which is commonly used in Japanese tea ceremonies.
